Bears Place Five on Podium

UNC Competed at the Desert Heat Classic and Doug Max Invite
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Track & Field split the squad and competed at the Desert Heat Classic and Doug Max Invitational, placing five on the podium.
"I was very pleased with the team's performances this weekend," Wayne Angel, Director of Track & Field / Cross Country said. "We are in a good place heading into the Big Sky Championships next week."
Jerome Campbell claimed a silver medal at the Desert Heat Classic.
"Jerome had a super race in the 110-meter hurdles defeating all of his collegiate competitors only to be bested by David King a British Tokyo Olympian," Angel said.
Campbell crossed the line in second, behind David King, a member of Team Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics, in the 110-hurdles in a time of 13.59.
Wendira Moss collected two bronze medals, while Sherika Thomas and Brock Lewis added one each at the Doug Max Invitational.
Moss placed third in the 100m, with a time of 11.92 and added a second bronze when she crossed the line in 24.35 in the 200-meter dash.
Thomas ran a career-best 14.67 in the 100-meter Hurdles, the third-best time.
Lewis leapt a career-best 23'2" in the long jump, finishing third.
