Bears Split for Final Meets Before Championship Season

GREELEY, Colo. – Members of the Bears' Track & Field program split up for the final two meets before championship season.
Jerome Campbell, Regina Mpigachai, Alexia Austin, Zach Wells, Edgar Garcia, August van De Weijer, Abdul Razak and Donovona Castillo continue their pursuit of punching their tickets to the postseason at the Desert Heat Classic – hosted by Arizona.
Campell, an All-American Hurdler and distance star Mpigachai look to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Austin (100m hurdles), Wells (800m and 1500m), Garcia (100m and 200m) and the trio of van De Weijer, Razak and Castillo compete in the 400 meters and look to secure a spot in the preliminary rounds of the NCAA Championships – hosted by Arkansas – in Fayetteville, Arkansas, May 22.
The remainder of the squad travels to Fort Collins for their final tune-up at the Doug Max Invitational – hosted by Colorado State.
The remainder of the squad will have their final tune-up at the Doug Max invitational at Colorado State University in preparation for the Big Sky Championships in Bozeman Montana on May 9th.
