Zinicola Delivers Multi-Hit Game

OMAHA, Neb. – Zain Zinicola delivered a multi-hit game in Northern Colorado's setback against Omaha at Tal Anderson Field.
Garrett Fisher and Craig Kenny added a knock each.
Zinicola scored the lone run for UNC (7-28-1, 6-9-1) in the 11-1 loss on an RBI single by Fisher in the sixth inning.
Logan Moser retired all three batters he faced in a scoreless sixth, including a strikeout.
Omaha (11-22, 9-7) built a 7-0 lead with one run in the first and three in each of the next two innings. The Mavericks closed out the contest with four in the seventh, earning the run-rule victory.
Dylan Smith started and tossed 5.0 innings. He allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four.

The teams resume the series at 4 p.m. Saturday.
