UNC Sets School Record and 6 Event Winners at Jack Christensen Invitational

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado participated at the Jack Christensen Invitational and a school record, six event winners, and six podium finishers were recorded for the Bears.
"I thought that we took advantage of a great opportunity to go out and compete close to home and take another step forward as we progress through the outdoor season," said UNC head track and field coach Wayne Angel. "We are rounding into a special team with outstanding performances each week. That is why it's so important that our athletes continue to take advantage of great weather and competition. I am extremely proud of these Bears, they put on a clinic at CSU."
Jerome Campbell set the school record and won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.34.
Campbell was part of the 4x100-meter relay winning team that finished with a time of 40.55 and included Raphael Egbuchilem, Edgar Garcia, and Abdul Razak.
Razak won the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.76.
On the women's side, Wendira Moss won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.87 and the 200-meter dash with a mark of 23.94.
Moss was part of the 4x100-meter relay team with a time of 46.39, which included Alexia Austin, Sherika Thomas, and Craiesha Johnson.
Kiana Van Haaren placed third in the long jump with a mark of 5.74 meters.
Campbell was runner-up in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.15. Garcia was third in the event with a mark of 21.27.
Egbuchilem placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.58.
Donovan Castillo finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.06.
The Bears return to action April 12-13 at the Tom Jones Invitational on the campus of the University of Florida.
