Bears Move Home Opener to Saturday

THE MATCHUP – After four weeks on the road, UNC must wait an extra day to open its home schedule. Originally slated to play at the friendly confines of Jackson Field Friday, the Bears Summit League Conference opener against St. Thomas moved to Saturday, March 16 at 11:30 a.m. as part of a doubleheader, due to inclement weather.
BEARS' BITES – Kai Wagner leads the offense in batting average (.333), slugging (.588), on-base percentage (.440), OPS (1.005), hits (17), 2B (4) and tied in RBIs (9) and home runs (3). He ranks 12th in the Summit League in batting average.
Trevor Landen paces the pitching staff with a 1.93 ERA, allowing two earned runs with five strikeouts over 9.1 innings in five outings.
