Serrano Paces Bears at Big 12 Wrestling Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Dominick Serrano paced the Bears with a third place finish at 133 pounds to qualify for the NCAA Championships as Northern Colorado placed 10th at the 2024 Big 12 Championship, finishing with 33.5 points Sunday at BOK Arena.
Three other Bears fought their way onto the podium. Stevo Poulin worked his way to a seventh-place finish, while Vincent Zerban recovered from a second-round setback to place seventh. Xavier Vasquez battled back to finish eighth at 197.
UNC must wait for the NCAA Championships at-large selections to be released later this week to see if anyone other than Serrano qualifies. Both Poulin and Zerban, who were consistently ranked in the Top 10 nationally throughout the season, are expected to garner at-large selections.
