UNC Wrestling Lands Four on NWCA Scholar All-American List

GREELEY, Colo. – Four Bears earned recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association, being named NCAA Division I Scholar All-Americans.
UNC'S HONOREES:
Murphy Menke |R-Jr.| Parker, Colo. | 4.0 | Economics
Mahonri Rushton | Gr. | McCall, Idaho. | 4.0 | Master of Business Administration
Kilian Schultz | Jr. | Severance, Colo. | 3.61| Economics
Dominick Serrano | Gr. | Windsor, Colo. | 3.45 | Psychology
These exceptional student-athletes excelled both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting at least one of several criteria to earn recognition.
Nominees are selected based on their academic records as well as competition results recorded through TrackWrestling.
To qualify, student-athletes must achieve one of the following benchmarks: finish in the top eight at nationals with a 3.00 GPA, compete as a national qualifier with a 3.2 GPA, or qualify for their conference tournament while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
Additionally, wrestlers may earn consideration by competing in at least 15 matches, achieving a 60 percent win rate, and maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
