Chapa Named to FCS Football Central Freshman All-American Team

GREELEY, Colo. – Cam Chapa added more hardware after a stellar rookie campaign for Northern Colorado, with the FCS Football Central Freshman All-American Team selection.
Chapa, a standout at Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, Colorado, garnered All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention honors in late November.
He played in all 12 games for the Bears during his rookie season. Chapa ranked second in the Big Sky and 19th in FCS in interceptions per game, while his 6.9 tackles per game placed him 14th in the league and 118th in the nation.
