Costelli Returns to the Lineup

DAVIS, Calif. – Making his first start since week two, Peter Costelli accounted for 270 yards and two touchdowns for Northern Colorado at Nottingham Field Saturday.
He completed 11 of 23 pass attempts for 258 yards and scampered for 12 more on one rush attempt. Costelli set career highs with 258 passing yards, including a career-long 75-yarder. His two scores matched his previous best.
Jonah Chong added 17 yards through the air on 2 of 3 passing. Chong and Costelli combined for a season-high 275 passing yards.
UNC fell to 1-9 on the season, including 1-4 in Big Sky Conference play with the 43-15 loss to Eastern Washington (3-7, 2-4)
Carver Cheeks posted a career-high 136 yards on four receptions, including a 75-yard touchdown catch and run. Brayden Munroe added a touchdown, with 63 yards, while Ryder MacGillivray tallied 60 receiving yards.
Defensively, Keenan Guthrie and Michael Jordan, Jr. tallied career-highs in tackles. Guthrie inked 11, including two solo tackles, while Jordan posted 10. Franky Morales, Cam Chapa and David Hoage netted nine tackles each.
UNC accrued 275 passing yards while allowing 199 but Eastern Washington outgained the Bears 362-63 on the ground.
Both sides sacked the opposing quarterback once. They each converted their lone 2-point conversion attempts.
