Bears Move Up Leaderboard with Strong Finish

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – Louise Dahl carded her second-consecutive 1-under par Tuesday at the Big Sky 54 for Title IX – hosted by the Big Sky Conference – at Talons Cove Golf Course (par 72/6,350 yards) Tuesday.
University of Northern Colorado shot 2-under as a team, one of just four teams to finish under par over the final round. They gained four spots over the final two rounds and finished eighth in the 14-team field.
Sitting 12th after 18 holes, the Bears needed just four shots over par to complete the final two circuits around the course. UNC placed eighth, six strokes ahead of Utah Valley in ninth and trailed sixth-place Southern Utah and Idaho by three strokes.
Dahl led the strong finish, totaling seven birdies over her final two rounds, earning a four-way tie for 19th with a 3-over par 219.
Timbre Shehee moved up 31 spots on the leaderboard on day two with a 3-under par 69. She completed the event in a five-way tie for 25th, with a 221.
Maria Vallejo Gomez, Marija Jucmane and Amy Chitkoksoong rounded out the scoring within one stroke. Vallejo took home a share of 37th with four other participants at 223 (76+74+73), while Jucmane (75+75+74) and Chitkoksoong (76+75+73) ended in a six-way tie for 42nd, at 224.
Competing as an individual, Carolina Fallotico collected a share of 31st, with a six-over par 222. She opened with a 69 and 74 on day one, with seven birdies in the opening round, before closing with a 79.

The Bears return to the course Oct. 2-3 at the Big O Classic – hosted by Omaha at Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska.
