UNC Women’s Golf Earns Runner-Up Finish at Conference Championship

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Northern Colorado women's golf wrapped up play at the Big Sky Conference Championship with an impressive final-round showing, securing a second-place team finish after three days of competition.
The Bears delivered a composed and competitive performance down the stretch, led by Olivia Salonek. The junior turned in one of the top rounds of the day, firing a two-under 69 to finish the tournament at two-under overall and tie for third on the individual leader board. Her consistency throughout the week played a key role in keeping Northern Colorado in the title hunt.
Samantha Colombine added to the strong finish, also carding a 69 in the final round to close at one-under for the tournament. Her performance earned her a tie for fifth, giving the Bears two players inside the top five. Timbre Shehee continued her steady play with a final-round of one-under 70, finishing at +2 overall and placing eighth individually.
Rounding out the lineup, Jaci Hartman battled through the final round to finish tied for 16th, while Carolina Fallotico posted a three-over 74 to secure a tie for 20th.
As a team, Northern Colorado remained in contention throughout the championship, battling until the final holes before ultimately claiming runner-up honors in a competitive conference field.
The second-place finish caps a strong and historic 2025–26 season for the Bears. Over the course of the year, Northern Colorado recorded multiple top 10 finishes, set program records, and established itself as one of the top teams in the Big Sky.
