Bears Finish Third at The Big O Classic

OMAHA, Neb. – Timbre Shehee paced the University of Northern Colorado women's golf team to a third-place finish out of 12 teams at the Big O Classic – hosted by Creighton – at Oak Hills Country Club (par 73/6,055 yards) Monday and Tuesday.
Unable to complete Tuesday's final round due to rain and lightning, scores from Monday's 36 holes determined the final team and individual rankings.
Shehee finished third among the 69 competitors. The Mead, Colo., native shot a 4-over par 77 in Monday's opening round, before gaining 12 spots on the leaderboard with an even-par 73 in the afternoon session.
Louise Dahl trailed Shehee by three shots, garnering a top-10 finish, completing the event in a four-way tie at 7-over par. She carded a 76 and 77 Monday, for a 153 total.
Marija Jucmane gave Northern Colorado three top-15 finishes, ending in a seven-way tie for 15th, at 10-over par. She inked a 156, with rounds of 77 and 79.
Carolina Fallotico improved her standing by 19 spots in Monday's second round. With her 85-75=160 total, Fallotico moved into a six-way tie for 36th.
Maria Vallejo Gomez rounded out the team scoring, tied for 48th after shooting 85=79+164.
Competing as an individual, Amy Chitkoksoong equaled Vallejo with an 84+80+164.

The Bears return to the course Oct. 9-10 at the Eagle Invitational – hosted by Eastern Washington at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Tacoma, Washington.
