UNC Rally Falls Short at SDSU

In game one, the Bears rallied late and fell short.
In the top of the eighth, Garrett Fisher doubled down the left field line to push across two runs and bring UNC to within one at 7-6.
Hayden Heinze batted 1-for-3 with three RBI. Jake King and Caden Wagner each batted 2-for-5.
Craig Kenny, Austin Bunn, and Jackson Romero each collected a hit.
Murphy Gienger started and absorbed the setback. He tossed five and two-third innings, scattered six hits, and allowed five runs, and three walks while fanning eight.
In game two the game was called after seven innings.
Romero batted 3-for-3 with two RBI.
James Wright, King, Kenny, Wagner, and Bunn all collected a hit.
The Bears return to the diamond for a three-game series vs. Omaha. The opener is set for Thursday at 1 p.m.
