GREELEY, Colo. – Hannah Simental scored a game-high 27 points and Montana defeated Northern Colorado 78-61 in Big Sky play from Bank of Colorado Arena.
Simantal, just two points off her career high, shot 9-for-17 from the field, including 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. The Big Sky leader in free-throw percentage went a perfect 4-for-4 at the line.
Delaynie Byrne added 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to narrowly miss the double-double.
Gabi Fields added 12 points, Avery Bang chipped in with four points, while Lauren Andrews and Luke Malinka each recorded a bucket.
The Bears return to the hardwood Saturday and host Montana State at 2 p.m. for National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
