Flagstaff, Ariz.- Northern Colorado suffered a 3-0 setback against Northern Arizona at Lumberjack Stadium Sunday.

Northern Arizona started fast, registering 12 shots, including nine on goal in the first half. The Lumberjacks notched three goals within the the first 30 minutes of the first half.

Mia Norman and Alex Michael each recorded a shot in the first half. Norman registered the Bears' lone shot on goal within the first 45 minutes. Maddie Smith recorded four saves in the first half. The teams went into the half with NAU leading 3-0.

Northern Arizona continued to attack early in the second half recording four shots in the first ten minutes.

Taryn Rea registered a shot for the Bears. In the 58th minute, UNC had an opportunity to score as Rae forced a save by the NAU keeper.

Kaya Lindberg relieved Smith late in the second half, accruing four saves.

The Lumberjacks controlled the ball and clock for the rest of the match, securing the victory.
