Trio of Women's Golfers Lead Team to Top 5 Finish

Northern Colorado women's golf finished fifth at the Hoover Invitational
HOOVER, Ala. – Northern Colorado women's golf picked up a top-five finish at the Hoover Invitational on Tuesday. The Bears had three individuals finish in the top 25 in Marija Jucmane, Timbre Shehee and Carolina Fallotico.
Jucmane led the way with a 3-over 219 for the 54-hole event, finishing tied for sixth. She was consistent all tournament shooting three straight 73s. She led the team with 36 pars and nine birdies.
Freshman Timbre Shehee had the second best tournament for the Bears with a 10-over, 226. She posted back-to-back 75s to close out the tournament after an opening 76. Shehee finished in 15th place.
Fallotico was the third Bear in the top 25 by tying for 21st. She shot a 12-over, 226 with three straight 76s. Fallotico was one of five players in the field to record an eagle during the tournament when she did so during the final round on the par 4, 10th hole.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado will head to the mountains next week for the Golf Week Red Sky Classic in Vail. UNC will tee it up September 26-28 at Red Sky Golf Club.
