Andrew Alirez made history in becoming the program's first Big 12 Champion after winning the 149 lbs weight class with a 6-4 decision. He also advanced the farthest in the NCAA Tournament than any other wrestler since Justin Gaethje in 2010.

 Three wrestlers represented Northern Colorado in the NCAA Championships in Jace Koelzer, Andrew Alirez, and Alan ClothierÂ

Six individual Bears were recognized as NWCA Scholar All-Americans, the most in school history, in Alan Clothier, Nick Knutson, Jace Koelzer, Dyson Kunz, Nathan Moore, and Jacob Seely.

UNC broke yet another record this year by securing their highest ranking yet on the NWCA Top 30 Scholar All-American Honors list, coming in at ninth place.

Senior Alan Clothier made history as the first wrestler in school history to be a four-time place winner at the Southern Scuffle by securing a sixth-place finish.
