Bears fall to Washington in series opener

The Huskies went to work early on Friday afternoon in Seattle, posting six runs in the opening frame to take the immediate lead.
While Shaydon Kubo and Caden Wagner each secured a base knock for the Bears, UW struck with crooked numbers in the fifth and sixth innings to keep the pedal to the metal.
Kubo's hit, however, extended his team-best hitting streak to 12 games for the sophomore.
In the end, Washington needed only seven innings to secure the victory.
