Men's Golf Travels to Wyoming Desert Classic

UNC men's golf is set to compete in the 20-team Wyoming Desert Classic
GREELEY, Colo.- UNC Men's Golf will travel to Palm Desert, California as they compete in the Wyoming Desert Classic hosted by regional foe Wyoming. The three-day, 56-hole tournament will take place Wednesday through Friday.
Coming off of their first tournament of the spring season, the John Burns Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Hawaii, Northern Colorado finished with five players in the top 100. Senior Jack Castiglia and sophomore Blake Danni finished in the highest spot for the Bears, both tied for 80th Danni shot a team-low 73 at the tournament, while Castiglia was consistent each day scoring in the 70s.
The Bears will aim to keep improving their game as they take on the competition as one of 20 teams, multiple of which are nationally ranked. Their competitors include the host team Wyoming, Boise State (49), Charlotte (57), Colorado (82), Nevada (45), New Mexico State (95), Oral Roberts, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, and UTSA (74).
The tournament will be held at the Classic Golf Course and starts at 8 am MT on Wednesday. Live scoring can be found on golfstat.com.
Following the Wyoming Desert Classic, UNC will travel to Phoenix for the two-day GCU Invitational on March 14-15.
