Bears host #4/4 Montana State

GREELEY, Colo.—For the second straight week Northern Colorado will face a top-5 test, but this time the Bears face the challenge at home with #4/#4 Montana State (5-1, 3-0 Big Sky) coming to Weld County on Saturday, Oct. 15. Opening kick against the Bobcats is set for 1:02 p.m. at Nottingham Field.
TELEVISION: The game will be available to ESPN+ subscribers on ESPN.com and the ESPN app.
RADIO: Live radio coverage of Northern Colorado football games can be found on KFKA 103.1 FM / 1310 AM with Blake Olson (play-by-play) and Aaron Rath (analyst). Coverage will begin an hour before kickoff with the Blue & Gold Pregame Show featuring interviews from Coach Ed McCaffrey and selected players.
TICKETS: Tickets for all UNC football matches are available via the UNC Athletics app, online at UNCBears.com/tickets or by calling (970) 351-4849. Tickets can also be purchased in person by visiting the Ticket Office in Campus Commons from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
ABOUT MONTANA STATE: Ranked No. 4 in both the FCS Coaches' Poll and the Stats FCS Poll, Montana State (5-1, 3-0 Big Sky) was picked to finish third in the Big Sky Preseason Poll. The Bobcats advanced to the FCS Championship game last season under then first-year head coach Brent Vigen. The Bobcats went 12-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play before falling to North Dakota State, 38-10 in the national championship. In 2022, MSU's lone blemish was a 68-28 loss to the Pac 12's Oregon State.

BIG SKY ROUNDUP: Not only are there four Big Sky teams in the top 25 in the most recent FCS polls, but all four reside inside the top 10 in the country. Picking up first-place votes in both polls, Montana leads the way with No. 2/No. 3 rankings. Montana State, Sacramento State, and Weber State occupy the No. 4-6 positions. Idaho and Eastern Washington continue to receive votes in the polls to give the Big Sky six total representatives.
