Northern Colorado to Debut Black Jerseys in Season Opener Against Weber State

GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado football team will make program history in its season opener against Weber State, taking the field in black jerseys for the first time.
Set for 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28, at Nottingham Field, the game will also mark the first night game in Nottingham Field history, adding another historic element to an already memorable opener.
The historic debut of the black jerseys adds a bold new look to the start of the season and reflects the toughness, energy and competitive spirit of Northern Colorado football. As the Bears take the field under the lights for the first time at Nottingham Field, the season opener will deliver a distinctive game-day atmosphere for players and fans alike.
The opener against Weber State will also be a blackout, with fans encouraged to wear black and help create a powerful home-field environment. Bears supporters will have the opportunity to be part of a memorable night as Northern Colorado unveils the black jerseys, plays the first night game in venue history and opens the season in front of its home crowd.
