Bears, Wildcats Battle For First Place Thursday

Northern Colorado men's basketball hosts Weber State for first place in the Big Sky
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's basketball returns home for their biggest game so far of the 2021-22 season. The Bears host Weber State on Thursday night at 6 pm. Men's basketball welcomes back its alums for the game and will be wearing special retro uniforms.
There will also be throwback concession prices along with two people in attendance who will get the chance to compete in the Bank of Colorado Cash Cube for 30 seconds each.
Thursday is also the Qdoba Student Fiesta. Show up early and receive free Qdoba before cheering on the Bears!

Opening Tip
- Northern Colorado completed its road sweep with a thrilling 87-83 win over Eastern Washington.
- It was Northern Colorado's first win in Cheney, Washington since 2013, snapping a seven-game losing streak.

Head coach Randy Rahe once against has Weber State battling at the top of the Big Sky in 2021-22. The Wildcats enter Thursday in first place with a 7-1 record.
WSU has one of the best offenses in the Big Sky averaging 77.9 points and shooting 47.4% from the field.
Four Wildcats are scoring in double figures led by Koby McEwen's 17.4 ppg. Joining McEwen are Dillon Jones (13.0), Seikou Sisoho Jawara (12.5) and JJ Overton (12.1). Jones is averaging a double-double, leading the league with 10.1 rebounds a game.
Around the Big Sky
Weber State picked up a big road win on Monday night defeating Southern Utah in Cedar City 92-84. WSU and UNC are now the only teams in the Big Sky with just one loss. Two other road teams won on Monday in Idaho and Eastern Washington while NAU beat Sacramento State at home.
