UNC Track and Field Heads to Mark Colligan Memorial

GREELEY, Colo.- After yet another week of high achieving performances, Northern Colorado Track and Field is back on the road as they travel to Lincoln for the 2022 Mark Colligan Memorial on Saturday hosted by the University of Nebraska.

UNC is coming off of strong performances in both Lubbock and Boulder last weekend. In Lubbock, freshman Regina Mpigachai set yet another school record in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:47.87, which also won her the race. Jesse Hayward, Steven Cross, Maccee Reed, Tyler Thimsen, and Welre Olivier also competed well in each of their respective events. Olivier currently sits at No. 2 in the Big Sky in long jump.

In Boulder, Melodie Leroudier took first place in her section of the 3000 meters and set a new personal best. Chloe Rylance also had a strong showing in the mile that earned her the No. 6 ranking in the Big Sky.

This weekend the Bears look to leverage this as they will be competing alongside Nebraska, Utah State, Kennesaw State, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, and Wyoming while in Lincoln.
