Men's Basketball Returns to Action Against Idaho

UNC men's hoops face Idaho in Moscow Thursday
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's basketball returns to the court after an 11-day hiatus when they face Idaho Thursday at 7 pm MT in Moscow.
Opening Tip
- Northern Colorado will have been off for 11 days when they tip-off against Idaho on Thursday due to a pair of games being rescheduled.
- UNC is tied in the loss column for the lead in the Big Sky, but two wins back of Weber State.
- The Bears dropped their last game to Sacramento State 85-71 at home.
- Daylen Kountz scored a team-leading 25 points against the Hornets. He continues to lead the Big Sky with 19.13 points per game.
- Kur Jongkuch recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
- Bodie Hume is eight points away from moving into 11th on the program's all-time scoring list.
- Northern Colorado enters Thursday leading the Big Sky and ranked 11th in the nation in made three-pointers per game with 10.6.

Scouting the Vandals
Idaho opened a brand new arena in 2021-22 and have started to establish a home court advantage with a 3-4 record this season. That includes a big win over Summit League power South Dakota State 98-84.
The Vandals are still looking for their first Big Sky win of the season coming into Thursday 0-6. UI's last four games have been on the road.
Mikey Dixon leads the Vandals in scoring with 17.8 points per game and has increased his scoring to 22.2 points in Big Sky play.

As COVID continues to run around the nation it has caused many changes to the Big Sky schedule. Entering this weekend UNC, Southern Utah and Weber State are tied in the loss column for the Big Sky lead. WSU is ahead of SUU by a game and UNC by two in the win column.

Northern Colorado stays in the Pacific Northwest with a matchup against Eastern Washington at 3 pm on Saturday.
