Volleyball extends academic streak to double digits

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Since head coach Lyndsey Oates' arrival, success both on and off the court has been a staple for her program and this season has been no different. For the tenth consecutive year, Northern Colorado volleyball has earned the AVCA Academic Award.
To earn the honor the team must hold at least a year-long GPA of 3.30.
The Bears placed nine student-athletes on the Academic All-Big Sky list this year, up from nine the previous season. Michaela Boon, Jadyn McCartney, Syd Cole, Laura Katarzynski, Lauren Hinrichs, Taylor Muff, Lauren Strain, Rachel Hickman, Daisy Schultz, Bronwyn Timperley, Kailey Jo Ince and Kyndal Feather all maintained a GPA of at least 3.2 or higher.
Northern Colorado's highly-anticipated 2021 season begins on Friday, August 20, with Wyoming stumbling into town. To purchase season tickets, visit UNCBears.com/Tickets
