Jack Castiglia shot an even-par 72 to sit three shots back entering tomorrows final round
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Jack Castiglia will be waking up tomorrow morning with a Big Sky Championship in his sights.
The junior from Lakewood sits through strokes back of the lead entering tomorrow's final 18 holes. He shot an even-par 72 on Monday to sit in a tie for third at 3-over, 147 for the tournament. Castiglia had a few more birdies on his round than Sunday with three, but once again was consistent throughout with 12 pars.
As a team, Northern Colorado sits in seventh place shooting a 14-over 302. The Bears improved by 13 strokes from the opening round and are five strokes outside the top five.
Blake Danni and Logan Hensley had the second-best rounds of the day for UNC each shooting a 4-over 76. Danni is tied for 21st a stroke ahead of Hensley who is tied for 25th.
Prenzlow's Perspective
Actually, today we were a bit better! We had guys competing hard to shoot a good score but other than Jack we had too many big scores! Jack was excellent all day. Tomorrow we just need to play relaxed, even on the tough holes and see if we can hit some critical shots well. This team is just young and playing like it now.
