Northern Colorado took sixth place at the Big Sky Championship
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The 2021 men's golf season came to a close on Tuesday for Northern Colorado as a pair of Bears earned top 20 finishes. Jack Castiglia and Blake Danni placed inside the top 20 at the Big Sky Championships. Castiglia finished tied for sixth and Danni tied for 17th.
Northern Colorado had its best round of the tournament shooting a 7-over 295. The team finished in sixth place overall with a 48-over 912.
Castiglia shot his second straight even-par 72 to finish the tournament at 3-over 219. He had his most birdies for the tournament on Tuesday with four.
Danni finished his week off with a 2-over 74. For the tournament, he shot a 13-over 229 to finish tied for 17th. Danni improved his score each round over the three days.
Prenzlow's Perspective
"It was nice to see the guys compete and play a nice round. Jack was again solid all day as usual. We made some critical short par putts and actually hit some difficult shots in the windy conditions well. Everyone is back next year so hopefully, with the experience of this short season, this team keeps getting better over the summer and is ready to go next fall.
