Men's golf competes at famous Bandon Dune Golf Course

UNC men's golf finished 13th at the Bandon Dune Invitational
BANDON, Ore. – Northern Colorado men's golf returned to the course competing at the Bandon Dunes Invitational at the famous Bandon Dunes Resort. The 54-hole tournament was held on the Dunes Trails course.
UNC finished in 13th place shooting a 43-over, 895 as a team on the challenging course. Their best day came in round two when they shot a 9-over, 293.
Junior Jack Castiglia led the charge that day with his 3-under, 69. He was the lone Bear to go under par any round at the tournament. In that round, he had five birdies on his scorecard including a stretch of three straight. Castiglia ended up tied for 39th for the tournament shooting a 5-over, 221.
Blake Danni and Westin Pals finished a stroke behind Castiglia with a 6-over, 222 over the 54-hole tournament. That put them in a tie for 42nd Each shot an even-par, 72 in the final round. Pals improved his score each day starting with an opening round 75, followed by a 73 and concluding on his 72.
What's Ahead
The Bears return to action next week when they compete at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix on March 15 and 16.
