Men's Golf competes in Wyoming Cowboy Classic

Jack Castiglia and TJ Shehee both shot a round under par at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic
CHANDLER, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's golf continues to prepare for the Big Sky Championship at the end of the month by competing in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic over Monday and Tuesday in Chandler, Arizona. UNC finished tied for 18th with Idaho shooting a 22-over 886 in the 54-hole tournament.
Two Bears shot a round under par over the two-day tournament in Jack Castiglia and TJ Shehee. Castiglia shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round with three birdies and one bogey during it. He ended up tied for 67th on the individual leaderboard with a six-over, 222.
Shehee ended the tournament on a high note with a 1-under, 71. That helped him earn a tied for 90th finish with a 10-over, 226. He made five birdies over his round compared to just four bogeys. Shehee led the team with 11 birdies during the tournament.
Two Bears scored an eagle during the two-day event. Castiglia and teammate Logan Hensley. Both came during the second round. Castiglia on the par 5, 560-yard 17th and Hensley on the 567-yard second.

Northern Colorado has one more tournament before the Big Sky Tournament at the BearKat Invitational in Lake Conroe, Texas over April 12-13.
