Bears Welcome No. 4 Eastern Washington to Nottingham for Homecoming

UNC football hosts No. 4 Eastern Washington on Saturday

The Game
Northern Colorado returns home to host the high-powered No. 4 Eastern Washington Eagles on Saturday. The game is a part of Homecoming Weekend at UNC. Kick off is set for 1 pm with Pepsi Fan Fest starting at 10 am just north of Nottingham Field. Tickets for the game are available at UNCBears.com/Tickets.

Scouting the Eagles
• Eastern Washington is coming off a top 5 win over No. 4 Montana at home last week 34-28.Â
• The Eagles started the year with a thrilling 35-33 win at FBS UNLV in two overtimes.
• Quarterback Eric Barrier has been lighting up opposing defenses all year long. He leads the FCS in passing yards per game with 421.0, points responsible for, 118 and is second in yards per completion at 15.59 yards.Â
• With Barrier leading the way the Eagles are the FCS leaders in passing offense (441.0) and scoring (48.8).
• EWU has four receivers ranked in the top 75 of the FCS in receiving yards per game. Talolo Limu-Jones leads the way with 112.2 yards ranking fifth nationally he's followed by Andrew Boston (71.0), Efton Chism III (70.2) and Freddie Roberson (62.5).Â
• While scoring a lot of points, EWU also gives up a lot allowing 30.4 points a game.
Around the Big Sky
Entering the third week of conference play, four teams remain undefeated in Eastern Washington, UC Davis, Montana State and Sacramento State. All of whom are on UNC"s schedule for 2021.Â
All four undefeated teams are in action this weekend.
What's Ahead
UNC goes on the road next week when they head west to UC Davis. The Bears and Aggies kick off at 6 pm MT.Â
Northern Colorado does not return to Nottingham Field until the end of October to host Sacramento State.Â
