Lerouider Earns Top 20 finish at Pre-Nationals

UNC Women's Cross Country took 14th at the Pre-Nationals meet on Friday
TALAHASEE, Fla. – Northern Colorado Women's Cross Country team competed against some of the best in the nation on Friday morning at the NCAA Pre-Nationals hosted by Florida State. The Bears competed in the open division with two top 75 finishes helping the team to place 14th.
Melodie Leroudier put on a performance for the Bears taking 20th with a run of 21:36.0 in the 6K. This comes after taking 24th at the Chile Pepper Festival two weeks ago. She has led the Bears in each race she has ran this season.
Graduate transfer Claudine Blancaflor took 72nd with a time of 22:34.2. Blancaflor and Lerouider earned 15 and 56 points in the team rankings for UNC.
Julia Brown, Emily Wilson, Shantell Hafner, and Chloe Rylance also competed at Pre-Nationals for the Bears.
What's Ahead
The regular season is over, now it's time for the championship season. UNC will compete in the Big Sky Championship on Friday, October 29 in Portland, Oregon.
