Cross Country Ready for Big Sky Championships

UNC Cross Country heads to Oregon for the Big Sky Cross Country Championships
GREELEY, Colo. – Championship season is here for Northern Colorado Cross Country. The Bears and the rest of the Big Sky will compete in the Big Sky Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 29 in Hillsboro, Oregon.
The 2021 Championship will be run at Meriweather National Golf Club hosted by Portland State. The women's race starts at Noon MT and the men's race at 1 pm MT.
This marks Northern Colorado's first time competing in Big Sky Championships as a full team since hosting them in 2019. At that meet, Northern Colorado's men had their best finish ever taking fifth place.
This season it's the women who look primed to make their best finish since joining the Big Sky. Melodie Leroudier and Claudine Blancaflor lead a talented women's team. On the men's side, Jesse Hayward leads the way for a young group gaining their first taste of championship racing.
