Northern Colorado Women Cross Country Head to NCAA Pre-Nationals

GREELEY, Colo.- Northern Colorado Women's Cross Country is back on the road again following a week off, as they will run at the NCAA Pre-Nationals hosted by Florida State on Friday.

The Bears will face strong competition against 39 other teams, 22 of which are ranked in the Top 15 of their respective regions. Some familiar Mountain Region foes include Northern Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, all of which are ranked in the top 15.

Also competing alongside UNC are Alabama and Arkansas, ranked first in the South and South Central Regions. Alabama and Colorado are also ranked in the National Coaches' Poll Top 5 for this week.

UNC has good momentum coming off of strong performances from their most recent race at the Chili Pepper Festival that will be in their favor. Both Melodie Leroudier and Claudine Blancaflor had top 75 finishes and the team finished 14th overall.
