Kai Edwards Signs with Palmer Alma Mediterránea Palma

Kai Edwards joins Palmer Alma Mediterránea Palma in Spain
GREELEY, Colo. – Former UNC men's basketball Kai Edwards is taking his talents overseas signing to play for Palmer Alma Mediterránea Palma in Spain.
"It's been great signing my first professional contract and being able to play out here in Palma on the island of Mallorca has been a dream come true," Edwards said. "The first couple of weeks have been amazing so far!"
Edwards concluded his career with Northern Colorado in 2019-20 by earning the Big Sky's Top Reserve award. The Dutch big man averaged 22.3 minutes off the bench while grabbing a team-leading 7.1 rebounds along with 9.4 points per game. He recorded three double-doubles his senior year and had five for his career. Edwards left UNC with the ninth most rebounds in program history hauling in 608.
Palmer Alma Mediterránea Palma plays in the Liga Españonla de Baloncesto. Last year they finished with a 15-9 record when the season was cut short due to COVID-19.
Edwards becomes the fourth former Bear currently playing professionally, joining Jordan Davis, Jonah Radebaugh and Andre Speight.
