Men's and Women's Track and Field Earn USTFCCCA Academic Award

UNC men's and women's track and field earn USTFCCCA All-Academic team honor
NEW ORLEANS – Both Northern Colorado's men's and women's track and field teams earned the honor of being named of USTFCCCA All-Academic team announced on Thursday. To earn the honor a program must hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
It is the first time since 2017 that either program has earned the award. UNC is one of eight Big Sky programs to have both teams earn the All-Academic team honor.
The women's track and field team hold a 3.27 cumulative GPA and men's team a 3.12. Each had great spring semesters with the men posting a 3.28 and women a 3.53 GPA. Sixteen student-athletes from the programs combined were named to the Academic All-Big Sky team last month.
Women's track and field's Kylie Chavez earned UNC's Big Sky Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors during the 2019-20 season as a part of helping the team to the USTFCCCA award.
