Women’s Tennis Comes Up Short Against Creighton

OMAHA, Neb.- The UNC women's tennis team faced Creighton University in Omaha on Saturday where they were defeated 6-1.
In doubles play, Sandra Keta/Sarina Chhabra won their No. 3 spot match against Benson/Epperson with a score of 6-3.
In No. 1 doubles, Raffa Mora/Synclair Larson fell to Krueger/Wilcox, 6-1. Milena Belianovich/Madison Wolfe also lost, 6-3, against O'Connor/Gener in the No. 2 doubles spot.
In singles play, Sandra Keta was the only Bear to win her match with a win in the No. 2 spot over Emma Gener. She won in two sets with scores of 7-5 and 6-4. Creighton took the victory over the Bears with wins over Raffa Mora in the No. 1 spot, Milena Belianovich in the No. 3 spot, Madison Wolfe in the No. 4 spot, Sarina Chhabra in the No. 5 spot and Synclair Larson in the No. 6 spot.
"Sandra and Sarina played a really solid and smart match in doubles and Sandra was very smart, solid and tough in her singles," said Head Coach Chad Stoloff. "We battled hard. Creighton was too good today. We will get ready to battle tomorrow."
The Bears have the chance to redeem themselves in Omaha with a match against the University of Nebraska-Omaha tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
