Bears Fall to #3 Texas Tech

The Bears were the first to get on the board with Jake Gitter hitting a solo home run to left center to give the Bears the 1-0 lead. Sam Leach and Lucas Allen gave the Bears two more runs in the seventh inning, and Lincoln Turner scored off a wild pitch in the eighth inning.
Sam Colehower got the start of the mound today for the Bears. UNC brought out a total of seven pitchers to the mound for the day, with Jordan Schiefer out there the longest at 2.2 innings and 69 pitches thrown.
Tomorrow the Bears have a double-header where they will get rematches with both Houston Baptist at 10 AM, and Texas Tech shortly after the end of the first game.
