GREELEY, Colo. – Coming off its first Big Sky games of the season, Northern Colorado Women's Basketball returns to the Bank of Colorado Arena for one last non-conference matchup against its rivals to the north, Wyoming.
Game Info
Who: Northern Colorado (1-5, 0-2) vs. Wyoming (2-2, 1-1)

Where: Bank of Colorado Arena
How To Follow: PlutoTV Ch. 1059 | Live Stats | UNC_BearsWBB
Opening Tip
Sophomore forward Alisha Davis has scored in double figures in four consecutive games and five of the six contests so far this season.
Northern Colorado will welcome the return of Alexis Chapman, Micayla Isenbart, Jasmine Gayles and Brooklyn Evans back into the lineup after missing the past three games.
Mele Finau is coming off her best game in the Blue and Gold against Idaho State on Wednesday. The sophomore totaled career highs in points (10), minutes (37) and was a rebound shy of matching her career-best.
It'll be a pleasant change of pace welcoming Wyoming into the Bank of Colorado Arena. UNC hasn't hosted the Cowgirls since 2006.
Thanks to a lift from its sharp-shooting freshmen, Northern Colorado is producing a high clip from beyond the arc. The Bears are currently averaging .349 from deep, the second-best average in the conference and 81st in the nation.
Scouting the Cowgirls
Wyoming finished third in the Mountain West a year ago but lost six players from that team, including three starters. Head coach Gerald Mattinson welcomes the sight of his two top scorers from 2019-20 in Alba Sanchez Ramos and Quinn Weidemann. Just like the Bears, the Cowgirls also knocked off the Pioneers of Denver this season. Wyoming also split its Mountain West matchup against UNLV.
History against Wyoming
All-time Northern Colorado is 8-18 against its rivals from the north, including a modest 3-6 record in Bank of Colorado Arena. However, last season, Bear fans will recall the buzzer-beater from Kadie Deaton that saw UNC take the away matchup
Against the Conference
The Bears are 54-77 against the Mountain West in program history. UNC's best record versus a Mountain West opponent is against San Jose State, where Norther Colorado is undefeated (2-0).
On This Date
The Bears are 6-3 on December 20, including three straight wins against Liberty in 2017 (65-57), San Francisco in 2010 (74-47) and Kansas City in 2005 (86-69).
What's Ahead?
Northern Colorado will enjoy the holiday break before returning to the Bank for the rest of its Big Sky Conference play, beginning with Montana on January 1 & 3.
