Freshman Blake Danni Leads Bears at Individual Invite

GREELEY – Northern Colorado men's golf hosted its individual invite on Monday at Highlands Hill Golf Course with freshman Blake Danni earning the best finish for the team by tying for fourth place.
The freshman a 3-over, 145 over the 36-hole event. After carding a 3-over, 74 in the first round he shot an even-par, 71 in the afternoon. Danni led the team with 22 pars for the event and was one of four players in the field to record an eagle.
Nick Sharp and TJ Shehee also finished in the top 10, finishing in a tie for eighth with a 6-over, 148. Shehee tied classmate and teammate Danni for the best round on the team also shooting a 71 in the second round.
What's Ahead
It will be a busy weekend for Northern Colorado who will compete in back-to-back events over a five-day span. First, they will play in the Ron More Intercollegiate at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch from Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6. Then the team heads to the Mark Simpson Invitational hosted by Colorado at Colorado National Golf Club October 7 and 8.
