UNC promotes Walton to Senior Associate Athletic Director

The University of Northern Colorado Director of Athletics Darren Dunn announced the promotion Rachel Walton has been to Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator.
"I am really excited about this opportunity," said Walton. "What excited me the most about the new role is the ability to support our student-athletes and ensure that they have a great experience at UNC."
Walton came to UNC in late 2017 as the Director of Compliance and had been serving as Interim SWA since the fall of 2018.
"During her time in the interim role Rachel proved she was ready for this role and will excel at it," said Dunn. "She is an energy provider who builds relationships with critical on campus departments and has the desire to grow and be successful."
Prior to coming to Greeley, Walton was the assistant athletic director for compliance at Wagner College and worked as the compliance assistant to the senior associate commissioner for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Before working in college athletics, Walton worked for the Double A Trenton Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Metuchen, N.J. native graduated from Rutgers University.
