Ogden, UT.- The Bears continue their win streak in conference play after sweeping the Weber State Wildcats 3-0 in tonight's game, keeping Northern Colorado at the top of the Big Sky Conference.
Â
The Bears kicked the match off with a 25-18 final score in set one. Kailey Jo Ince led the team in most kills at six total, and Taylor Muff followed behind at four. The Bears as a team had a great .349 hit percentage as well as a total of two services aces.
Â
The momentum continued into set two with the Bears sliding by with a 25-23 victory.
The Wildcats took their first lead of the night over the Bears, and from there both team continued to then fight point-for-point for the rest of the set. However, with sitting all tied up at 22-22, the Bears never gave up as Jadyn McCartney had a crucial kill and Kyndall Feathers then pushed the Bears to 25 off a service ace.
Â
The Wildcats came out with some intensity against the Bears as they took an early lead in set three. However the Bears held on and fought with all they had to outlast the Wildcats with a final score of 25-23, ending the match with another sweep for the Bears.
Â
Ince has once again led the team with total kills tonight at 17, and right behind her was Lauren Hinrichs at ten. Hinrichs also had a great game with a .391 hitting percentage with only one error.
Â
Taylor Els continues to show her strength on the team as she took on 15 digs tonight, and had one ace of her own. Feathers followed behind with 11 digs, and Muff at ten.
Â
The Bears had three total blocks on the Wildcats tonight and racked up six service aces, three of which came from Laura Katarzynski.

What Lyndsey Said
Â
"I liked our composure tonight as we stayed really calm even when we weren't playing extremely well. That shows great leadership and a lot of it stemmed from our upper-classmen tonight."
Â
"I always like to tell our hitters to stay aggressive, and obviously Lauren and KJ had good numbers because they were taking big swings. And, at the end of the third set it came down to serving and passing, and it showed that we can most definitely trust in ourselves with our serving and passing during stressful situations."
Â
"It's always tough to win on the road, and it's always been tough to win here too, so I'm really proud of my team right now, but of course we have a lot of conference left so we've got to take it one match at a time."
