UNC Volleyball Receives 2025-26 AVCA Team Academic Award, Honor Roll Recognition

GREELEY, Colo. – UNC Volleyball has been recognized with the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for its outstanding academic performance during the 2025–26 academic year.
The AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team GPA of 3.30 or higher. The additional Honor Roll distinction places Northern Colorado among the top academic volleyball programs in the nation.
In addition to receiving the national award, the Bears earned a place on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, an elite distinction reserved for programs that rank in the top 20% of team GPAs across their respective divisions.
The academic recognition comes on the heels of a championship season for the Bears. Northern Colorado captured the 2025 Big Sky Conference Championship and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, highlighting the program's commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom
This achievement continues a tradition of academic excellence for UNC Athletics, showcasing the commitment of student-athletes, coaches and academic support staff to success beyond competition.
