Savannah Smith's drawn charge with 1.9 seconds left lifted UNC over Idaho State 60-56
Northern Colorado needed one stop to force overtime against Idaho State Saturday night, instead, they got a charge and technical foul called on Idaho State's head coach Seaton Sobolewski to seal the victory in regulation. Savannah Smith drew a charge with 1.9 seconds left on Idaho State's Grace Kenyon to give the ball back to UNC and induce a T from the Bengals' head coach.
Smith proceeded to go to the free throw line and hit both foul shots to make it a 58-56 game before ISU fouled again inside a second to salt the game away at 60-56. Smith finished the night a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line on her way to a team-leading 20 points.
Two other Bears finished the night in double figures in Krystal Leger-Walker and Bridget Hintz each with 11.

The Bengals tightened the game up in the second quarter with a pair of 5-0 runs to make it a 33-31 UNC lead at the break.
Both teams played within two possessions of each other the entire second half matching punch for punch. Northern Colorado expanded its lead to as much as five, six times but never could pull away from ISU.
