Northern Colorado wide receiver Alex Wesley will attend the 2019 NFL Combine
INDIANAPOLIS – The opportunity to impress NFL scouts, coaches and executives continues to pile up for Alex Wesley as he will be attending the NFL Scouting Combine over February 26 – March 4.
Prior to traveling and competing in the combine, Wesley will take part in the Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 26.
Wesley is coming off his second consecutive 1,000 yards receiving season joining only Vincent Jackson to do so in program history. He led the team in 2018 with 57 receptions for 1050 yards and four touchdowns this season. The big year ranked him second in the Big Sky for yards per game (105.0) and third for receptions (5.7). He has been recognized by the Big Sky coaches earning his second straight second team All-Big Sky honor along with earning a spot on Phil Steele's first team All-Big Sky team.
As a Bear, Wesley not only dominated on the football field, but also on the track. He earned second team All-America status last year in the 400 meter dash when he finished 14th in the nation. At the NCAA Championship he became the first athlete in UNC history to break the 46.00 mark for the 400, running it in 45.91 seconds.
