Preview: @UNCO_MBB Starts Last Homestand of the Season

Greeley, Colo.—The Northern Colorado men will wrap up their home schedule this weekend as they first welcome Northern Arizona Thursday night.
Tipoff is set for 7 pm and will be broadcast on CET in Colorado, along with Pluto TV channel 241. You can listen in to 1310 KFKA for the radio broadcast and follow the stats live on UNCBears.com.

The final home weekend of men's basketball features lots of exciting game-day promotions. All UNC Faculty & Staff can receive FREE admission to Thursday's game. Faculty/Staff tickets are available online at uncbears.com/tickets with promo code MBBFSNIGHT and a valid unco.edu email, or by purchasing in person at any UNC box office. Additional tickets are regular price plus fees and Faculty/Staff are limited to one ticket per member.

The matchup with Northern Arizona will be the 28th in the series with Northern Colorado holding the edge 16-11, including being 11-2 in Bank of Colorado Arena. In Coach Jeff Linder's first season, his team split the two games with each team winning on their home court. The Bears have played the Lumberjacks three times in the Big Sky Tournament. All but one of the games in this series has been since both teams have joined the Big Sky. The first-ever game between NAU and UNC was in 1983 and the Lumberjacks won 81-71.
Record Book Watch
- With 24 points vs Idaho State and 17 points vs Weber State, Jordan Davis moved into ninth all-time in UNC history for points. Davis currently has 1,295 points in his career and trails John McFarland (1994-97) for eighth place by 14 points. Davis is now seventh for career assists with 302 and he needs 12 to pass Carlos Martinez (1996-00) with 313.
- Andre Spight has 537 points on the season which is only nine points behind third-place Will Figures for points in a single season. Dre is third as of February 10 for 3-pointers made in a single season with 83. Spight needs 10 more to take first place from Tate Unruh. The redshirt senior is behind current teammate Jordan Davis 210 to 184 for most field goals made in a season.
- Freshman Jalen Sanders is atop the list for most blocks in a season with 31. Connor Osborne (2009-14) held the previous record when had 29 rejections in the 2012-13 season.

Northern Colorado led most of the way but a late surge sent the game to overtime and UNC couldn't find its shooting touch as they fall to Weber State 71-66.
Last Time vs Northern Arizona
Jordan Davis broke Northern Colorado's Division I single-season assist record when the Bears and Lumberjacks met last season, but the UNC dropped the game 63-50 at Northern Arizona. Davis finished with six assists to move past the previous record of 106 by Elliot Lloyd. Davis finished the season with 162 assists.
Bear Tracks
- At the average the Bears are currently at, this UNC team would score 2,451 points in the regular season. The Bears would be the most prolific scoring team in UNC history by averaging just over 79 points a game and the 2,451 would beat the previous best by the 2009-10 team (2,426).
- The Bears are in first place in two stat categories for the whole season in the Big Sky Conference, defensive rebounding percentage and rebounding offense.
- Andre Spight still sits in third place for points per game with 21.7 in the overall season and 23.4 in the conference season which is first. Jonah Radebaugh continues to show why he is the iron man of the Big Sky. Radebaugh has played 32 more minutes than any other conference player.
Scouting Northern Arizona
- Head coach Jack Murphy is in his sixth season at the helm of the Northern Arizona men's basketball program with an overall record of 71-143 During the 2014-15 season, Murphy led NAU to its most successful season to date; leading the Lumberjacks to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament Championship game.
- The Lumberjacks have only won one game in the conference at Montana State when they handed the Bobcats a 77-75 defeat. UNC and NAU share one common non-conference opponent in South Dakota. The Bears beat USD and Northern Arizona fell to the Yotes 90-77.
- NAU scores a league-low 66.2 points per game and allows its opponents 78.9 points per contest.
- The team from Flagstaff does know how to clean the offensive boards as they grab 10.4 per game which is fourth in the league.
- Since the conference season started, NAU is third in blocks per game as they swat 3.5 shots in 40 minutes.
- JoJo Anderson is the Lumberjacks leading scorer with 12 points per game and has started 10 of the 25 games played.
- Brooks Debisschop grabbed a Big Sky-best 18 rebounds vs Idaho State earlier this year. Debisschop averages 7.7 rpg and that average puts him third in rebounds for the conference.

Chick-Fil-A senior night is Saturday against Southern Utah as UNC will recognize Andre Spight, Tanner Morgan, Anthony Johnson and Tyler Loose for all they have done for the Northern Colorado men's basketball team.
The Bears will be on the road for the rest of the regular season as they only have one game next week at North Dakota. The game is set to start at 2 pm in Grand Forks and will be broadcast on Pluto TV. Northern Colorado's final two games of the regular season are out on the west coast. First up is Portland State Thursday, March 1st at 9 pm and UNC's final game takes place in Sacramento when the Bears play the Hornets of Sacramento State Saturday, March 3rd starting at 8:05 pm Mountain Time.
After that, the Northern Colorado men will head to Reno for the Big Sky Conference Tournament March 6th through the 10th.
