Northern Colorado women's golf stayed in 11th place through the second round of the Ron Moore DU Invite
HIGHLANDS RANCH – Battling the wind, cold and tough course conditions, Northern Colorado women's golf held steady in round two of the Ron Moore DU Invitational at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch. UNC sits in a tie for 11th place through the first 36 holes of competition with a 607 after improving by a stroke from Friday by shooting a 303 Saturday. The Bears are tied with UTSA and four strokes behind Minnesota and Nevada.
Beah Cruz continued to have a strong tournament by shooting a 1-under, 71 Saturday. Cruz and the Bears teed off on the back nine Saturday sat at 2-under through her first nine of the day, birdieing the 11th and 16th hole. She added another birdie to her scorecard on the sixth hole while shooting 1-over on the front nine. Heading into Sunday's final round, Cruz is tied for fifth place with a 1-over, 145.

Portie's Perspective
The team had a pretty solid day in windy conditions. It was difficult pins and with some cross winds, was tough to get the ball close. Beah and Nicole had very good days, shooting 71 and 74. We stayed in the same position, 11th, and are accords for the opportunity to move up tomorrow as it is our final round of the fall.
What's Ahead
UNC will compete in its final 18 holes of the fall on Sunday, looking for their second straight top 10 finish. For live results of the tournament, click here.
