LARAMIE, Wyo. -UNC women's tennis fell to the Wyoming Cowgirls on the road Sunday morning by a 6-1 final score. Wyoming won two of three singles match to take a 1-0 lead and followed by winning five of six singles matches. The lone singles win for the Bears came at No. 6. Mana Koitabashi was able to get past Myiah Scott in straight sets 7-6(3), 6-1. In doubles the Bears won a match at No. 1 with the pairing of Raffa Mora and Tristen Bryant-Otake.

COACHING COMMENTS:
"Coming off a tough match against CU, the girls knew they had to step it up and compete even harder against Wyoming," said head coach Brenda Gallegos. "There were major opportunities to pull away with more wins, but we fell short in a few of those matches. Mana did a great job solidifying a point for us."

NEXT UP:
Northern Colorado (1-2, 0-0 Conf.) begins a five match homestand on Feb. 10 against Metro State (4-2, 0-0 Conf.) at Work Out West Fitness Center in Greeley.
