GREELEY, Colo. -The Northern Colorado women's tennis team battled the University of Colorado Buffs, but ultimately fell 7-0 at the Varsity Tennis Center in Boulder, Colorado. Soph. Raffa Mora played No. 1 singles for the Bears but lost 6-3, 6-0 to Linda Huang. At No. 2 singles, Tristen Bryant Otake came close to taking a set from Louise Ronaldson but ultimately fell 6-2, 7-5.

"It was a very competitive match today despite the final scoreline," said Brenda Gallegos. "The girls fought hard and really showed some heart and fire today against a difficult opponent. We are making steps in the right direction."

Northern Colorado (1-1, 0-0 Big Sky) will play their second match of the weekend on Sunday against Wyoming (1-1, 0-0 Conf.) at 11:00 a.m in Laramie, Wyo.
