GREELEY, Colo. – The game between Northern Colorado and Florida scheduled for Saturday in Gainsville, Fla. has been cancelled due to Hurricane Irma, universities announced Thursday.
"The safety and well-being of the student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans have been of the utmost concern during our ongoing communications with the University of Florida officials," Northern Colorado Athletic Director Darren Dunn said. "Our thoughts and well wishes are with the university and whole state of Florida during what is expected to be a difficult next few days."
There is no makeup date scheduled between the two teams, due to no common open date.
Northern Colorado's next game will now be on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Colorado.
