FINAL RESULTS
BOULDER, Colo. – Northern Colorado track and field had a field day at the Colorado Invite on Saturday, literally. The Bears came away with a title in the women's triple jump, along with strong marks in the men's high jump, women's long jump and men's triple jump.
Best Finishes:
Junior jumper, Juliette Cossey is getting used to winning. Cossey came out with her third first place mark of the outdoor season in the triple jump. Cossey won the event with a mark of 11.81m (38-9.00), the second time in as many weeks that the junior transfer has finished the best in the field in the event.
Jumping for just the second time in the outdoor season, fellow junior, Alyssa Bettendorf finished first in her flight and seventh overall in the long jump. Bettendorf sealed up a mark of 5.50m (18-0.50), just missing out on a Top 5 mark by seven tenths.
The men's jump squad also put forth a solid showing on the day. Senior, Jayson Dupre placed fifth overall in the high jump. Dupre cleared the bar in the tune of 1.88m (6-2.00).
Just across the way, sophomore jumper, Jake Tagita had a career-day in the triple jump. Tagita notched a fourth place showing with a personal outdoor-best measurement of 14.06m (20-1.00)
It wasn't just the field events taking all the glory in Boulder. The runners were in fine form as well.
Senior sprinter, Moriah Zachary bolted to a second place finish in the 200m dash in the field of 29. Zachary's time of 24.66 seconds was just behind CU's Rajon O'Quinn (24.18).
Sophomore, Samara Lishchynsky took fourth place after the dust had settled in the women's 100m dash. Lishchynsky came across in 12.35 seconds.
In the middle distance events, fellow sophomore, Alicia Thompson represented the Bears well in the 800m run. Thompson cashed in on a fifth place time of 2:16.83 in the field of 30.
In the men's action, UNC got positive results in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m events.
Sophomore sprinter, Isaiah Brown hit a new personal record in the 100m dash. Brown came in with a sub-11 second time of 10.77, good for third place in the standings.
In the 200m dash, it was the duo of seniors, Alex Mead and Jordan Medina the dawned the Blue and Gold. Mead broke the tape in 21.73 seconds, good for fifth place, while Medina came in sixth with a time of 22.12 seconds.
Freshman sprinter, Antoine Coates had a satisfying day on the track. Coates set a PR in the 400m dash, along with a fourth place showing after cruising to a 48.68-second finish.
The men's team reeled in another fourth place nod in the 800m run. Sophomore, Evan Keeley set a Top 10 mark (sixth best all-time) in the UNC record book with his performance, as well as a new personal-best, finishing with time of 1:53.93.

Northern Colorado is off to the infamous Hayward Field next weekend to compete in the coveted Oregon Relays April 14-15.
